WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Head coach
Scott Linn and the nationally-ranked Midwestern State men's tennis program announced the signing of Nolan McCaig to a National Letter of Intent Tuesday afternoon. McCaig will begin competing for the Mustangs this fall.

A native of Modesto, Calif., McCaig is a four-year letterwinner for coach Brandon Moring at Ceres (Calif.) High School. During his career, McCaig has compiled an 85-4 overall record and 60-0 mark in the WAC Conference at No. 1 singles to capture four all-conference MVP and all-area honors. In 2016, he was tabbed Greatest of All Time for the Bulldogs tennis team.
In four years, McCaig and the Bulldogs won four WAC Conference titles and claimed the 2015 Sac-Joaquin Section Division III Championship.
A three-star recruit and ranked in the top 250 nationally according to the Tennis Recruiting Network, the 5-8 right-hander currently ranks 60th in the state of California and is in the top 20 in Northern California in Boys 18's. McCaig also appeared on the Hot 100 list for the Tennis Recruiting Network.
As a junior player, he ranked in the top 10 in Northern California in Boys 16's and was No. 1 in Boys 10's, 12's and 14's. McCaig also boasts a win over Brandon Nakashima, the top national player in Boys 16's, and was a doubles finalist at the 2016 Stanford National.
McCaig is the second signee in MSU's 2017 signing class, joining Kansas native
Yaswanth Mylavarapu.
