Midwestern State to host College Soccer ID Camp

This summer marks the fourth year of The College Soccer ID Camp, hosted by Midwestern State University featuring the men's soccer staff from June 27-29.

The three-day event is geared for advanced player development and exposure to what it's like to compete at the college level. In addition to several MSU players, college coaches from the University of Tulsa, University of Texas-Dallas, Hardin-Simmons, Howard Payne, Bethany (Kan.) College, University of Houston-Victoria, Richland College and Lubbock Christian will be employed by the combine for demonstration purposes with additional schools in attendance for 2014.

Over 20 players from the first three camps have gone on to play collegiate soccer at various universities.

The College Soccer ID Camp believes "the game is the best teacher." The same philosophy will be applied at this combine. The focus of the activities will be learning through play. Enrollment in the camp will be extremely limited to allow individual attention for each player from the staff of college coaches.

There will be five sessions with a combination of small sided and full 11 vs. 11 games as the core of the combine's curriculum. Players should plan on arriving Friday evening beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the hotel for check-in.

Then at 7 p.m. there will be a College Night where players and parents can ask questions to the staff about what to expect during the recruiting and college experience.

On the field sessions will begin Saturday morning.

A check-in time Saturday at 8:30 a.m. is also available for athletes not interested in attending College Night.
