WICHITA FALLS, Texas - The only undefeated and untied team in NCAA Division II returned to the NSCAA/HendrickCars.com national rankings, but Midwestern State still managed to lose ground.
The Mustangs, who had been ranked in 49 straight NSCAA polls dating back to 2006 prior to sitting out a week after handling a missed payment of dues last week, dropped one spot from the Sep. 21st poll to No. 3.
Midwestern looks to build on its 26-match home unbeaten streak by playing host to No. 23 Eastern New Mexico Friday night at 7 p.m. and rival West Texas A&M Sunday afternoon at 1.
The Mustangs are one of five teams from the rugged Midwest/South Central Region in the national poll joining No. 1 Colorado Mines, No. 11 Incarnate Word, No. 17 Regis (Colo.) and No. 23 Eastern New Mexico.
